EBA one-day training modules
As of 2026, the EBA offers two advanced one-day training modules to complement the EBA Academy and to deepen the understanding of important, specific areas of the European payments landscape:
Liquidity and cash management module
“Every payment begins with liquidity.” Our training provides a comprehensive exploration of liquidity management by examining its significance for both corporations and banks. It sheds light on the shared challenges and strategies facing banks and corporates in achieving financial resilience and efficient liquidity management and demonstrates the interconnectedness of liquidity within the broader financial ecosystem.
The module delves into corporate treasury practices, focusing on cash flow management with suppliers and customers, payment processes, cash allocation, and strategies to ensure operational stability, financial resilience and safeguard continuity. On the banking side, the course investigates approaches to liquidity management, emphasising compliance with regulatory frameworks such as the Liquidity Coverage Ratio, effective handling of deposit withdrawals, ensuring financial obligations are met, and maintaining sufficient liquidity through High-Quality Liquid Assets, the liquidity buffers, highlighting their critical role in financial resilience.
Tokenisation of money and digital assets module
This course will take delegates on a journey from traditional account-based money to tokenised digital assets. It covers the journey through the “Wild West” era of cryptocurrencies to regulated stablecoins and Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs)/the digital euro. It deep dives into the topics of stablecoins, regulation, technical infrastructure, risks, market impact, strategic implications and an outlook into the future.
The module includes presentations, videos, live demonstrations of wallet functionality, regulatory case studies, interactive exercises from quizzes to threat/opportunity assessment sessions, breakout workshops on strategic positioning, and comprehensive references to further reading.
